Sabine Grandke-Taft describes herself as an ‘embodiment expert.’
Since the late 70s Sabine has practiced over 20 modalities of body-centered healing as a Physical Therapist, Certified Massage Therapist, Feldenkrais Practitioner®, Watsuer, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) and Tantric apprentice as well as a student of the Waking Down in Mutuality Process. By integrating the insights and techniques of these varied modalities, Sabine has created a body based approach to healing that she calls “Symphonic Touch®” and the “Radiant Embodiment” workshop series. Symphonic Touch teaches us how to feel our bodies as the trustable source for living the love and joy that we already are! Sabine’s work provides the link to embody our passion and spirit.
Born in Germany, she immigrated to the US in the late 90’s. For 3 years Sabine was on staff at the Esalen Institute, Big Sur, CA and also lived and worked in India and Australia. She taught workshops at the Omega Institute, NY and The Crossings, TX. She hosts her Radiant Embodiment workshops and individual Symphonic Touch® consultations for women, men and couples in the San Francisco Bay Area, CA, and throughout the United States, Canada, Europe, New Zealand and Australia and by invitation. Sabine currently lives in Marin County, CA with her husband and ‘Schmusemütze’, the kitten.

About Sabine 270 words
Sabine Grandke-Taft, PT, GCFP, CMT, SEP
has over 30 years of professional experience in Physical therapy, the Feldenkrais Method, Watsu, somatic trauma release and advanced body work.
She first observed that pleasure is the key to learning during her seven years as a physical therapist for babies with disabilities in Germany. Her interest in the body’s connection to spirit led her to live and study at the Esalen Institute in California for three years. Sabine has also lived and worked in India and Australia and studied more than 25 methods of body-oriented healing; including Biodynamic body therapy, Eriksonian hypnosis, Yoga, Tai Chi, Belly Dance, Tantra, Gestalt, Breath work, Meditation, Acutonics Sound Healing, and Somatic Experiencing/SE. Her five-year apprenticeship with David Deida immersed her in the teachings of sexual spirituality and the polarity of the sexes.
Drawing on these models, Sabine has developed Radiant Embodiment, a healing approach that helps people connect to their bodies as their home and expression of the divine. Women and men learn to trust life and open themselves to true love and fulfilling relationships. She uses Symphonic Touch®, her integrative movement massage process, to support her clients in moving beyond pain and unhelpful behavior patterns. People learn to feel their bodies with clarity, through relaxation, awareness, and by shifting the focus towards pleasure.
Sabine has been teaching workshops in Europe, Australia, and the US since 2002. She is currently writing her book on the recovery of Feminine Radiance. Her Symphonic Touch Series DVD 1 is released May 2010. Sabine maintains her private practice and lives with her husband in Marin County, California.
